FocusGate is built to help users reduce distracting app usage and improve focus by adding a pause before selected apps open.
Information We Collect
FocusGate does not require users to create an account.
FocusGate may store app preferences locally on your device, such as:
- Apps selected for protection or blocking
- Focus settings and app configuration preferences
- Permission status required for app functionality
- Locally generated focus activity, such as pauses created or time saved estimates
This information is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to our servers.
Accessibility Service Usage
FocusGate uses Android Accessibility Service to detect when selected apps are opened and show a blocking, confirmation, or pause screen. This permission is used only to provide the core app-blocking and focus-gate functionality.
FocusGate does not use Accessibility Service to:
- Read your messages
- Read passwords
- Read payment information
- Read personal screen content
- Record your screen
- Perform actions on your behalf
- Share accessibility data with third parties
Data Storage
FocusGate stores your settings and focus activity locally on your device. FocusGate does not upload your app usage data to developer servers.
Third-Party Services
FocusGate currently does not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking services.
Data Sharing
FocusGate does not sell, rent, or share user data with third parties.
Data Deletion
You can delete FocusGate data by clearing the app data from Android settings or uninstalling the app from your device.
Children’s Privacy
FocusGate is not specifically directed at children under 13. The app is intended for users aged 13 and above for productivity and focus management.
